Ultrafast All-Optical Switching Based on Strong Coupling between Excitons and Localized Surface Plasmons

Abstract

We study ultrafast all-optical switching of strongly coupled modes in nanoantenna-exciton complexes and show that both the reflection and transmission can be manipulated efficiently, thus opening the door for active and controllable nanoscale optical devices.
