Entanglement between Rydberg excited state and ground-state spin wave

Abstract

Here, we report on the successful storage of a true single photon using the Rydberg polariton and establishment of the entanglement between Rydberg excited state and the ground state spin wave experimentally, making a primary step towards the construction of a hybrid quantum interface.
