Full characterization of few-cycle pulses using cross-polarized wave generation d-scan technique

Abstract

We present a novel dispersion-scan pulse characterization technique employing cross-polarized wave (XPW) generation as nonlinearity. XPW inherently relaxes phase-matching limitations and hence makes it ideal for characterization of few-cycle pulses in various spectral regions.
