Spatially resolved characterization of gas - metallic nanoparticle interaction by energy loss spectroscopy in an environmental transmission electron microscope

Abstract

We use an environmental transmission electron microscope to identify gas adsorption sites for various concentrations of hydrogen and carbon monoxide on Au nanoparticles by collecting electron energy-loss spectra. Experimental results are consistent with simulation.
