Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally an ultra-sensitive RI sensor based on plasmonic slot nano-antenna arrays utilizing a novel resonance splitting phenomenon observed at small incidence angles. Sensitivities exceeding 1000nm/RIU and high FOM exceeding 50 are demonstrated.
