Abstract
We propose here a simple protocol that enables the generation of both optical Schrödinger cat states with arbitrary size, and quadrature “comb states”. This protocol uses single photon Fock states and quadrature measurements only. We show that the quantum properties of these states can be exploited to realize a loophole-free Bell violation with inefficient homodyne detectors, as they can be very robust against losses.
