High-Purity Heralded Single Photons on a Silicon Chip

Abstract

We report a silicon-chip source of heralded single photons with extremely high quality, achieving a low conditional photon autocorrelation, gc(2) (0), of 0.0059±0.0016. The gc(2) (0) remains below 0.06 for photon flux up to 6.4 × 105 pair/s.
