Abstract

All optical fiber-integrated quantum system is of attractive from the viewpoint of quantum information processing to quantum communication. For this system, one of the promising candidates is a nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in a nanodiamond coupled to an optical nanofiber. Using this system, a lot of experimental demonstrations have been done, for examples, single photon generation [1] and an optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) measurement [2]. However, these demonstrations have been performed with an extra excitation light outside of the fiber system using confocal microscope system. To realize genuine all-fiber system, the excitation of NV centers using a pump laser injected via a nanofiber is important. However, in this case, the strong background light induced inside the nanofiber is a difficult problem. In a previous demonstration, a lock-in amplifier was used to squeeze the signal from background light [3].
