Abstract
Electromagnetic radiation in the THz gap between 0.1THz and 10THz has hsa been attracting more and more interest in recent years. A growing number of applications for THz-radiation in industry, science, security, biology and medicine demand for high power sources within this spectral region to push the fundamental detection limits and enable unprecedented sensitivity, precision and measurement speed [1]. A possibility to develop high-power THz sources is to transfer the progress achieved in the development of high-power ultrafast lasers to the THz sources.
