First experimental demonstration of quasi static mode instability in high power fiber laser

Abstract

We observed quasi static mode instability in fiber laser and compared this type of mode instability with dynamic mode instability. Suppression of the mode instability and power more 4kW fiber amplifier was demonstrated.
