Abstract

In quantum optics, the statistical properties of the emitted photons define the nature of a light source. The black body is a well known example of source with large fluctuations and for which the statistics of the photon number is P(n)1nen/n, if 〈n〉 ≫ 1 with second order coherence g(2) (0) = 2 (thermal light).
