Abstract

Wavelength scale structures have been shown to drastically enhance the current density of few micron thick Silicon solar cells. Indeed, thanks to the high index contrast corrugation of the Si layer, antireflection and light trapping are achieved respectively in the short, blue and large, near infrared wavelength ranges of the solar spectrum.
