Abstract

High resolution liquid crystal spatial light modulators (LC-SLMs) have become a valuable and versatile tool for optical trapping and imaging. They are available for a broad spectrum of optical wavelengths, from near infrared to ultraviolet. Especially for shorter wavelengths it is possible to achieve a phase modulation pitch of greater than 2π.
