Abstract
Two synchronized modelocked pulse trains with a small offset in pulse repetition rate are very beneficial for numerous frequency comb applications such as asynchronous optical sampling (ASOPS) [1] or dual-comb spectroscopy [2]. Here we present for the first time a dual-comb modelocked laser based on a semiconductor disk laser (SDL) simultaneously emitting two gigahertz modelocked pulse trains in a very compact setup.
