Abstract

During the last decade Semiconductor Ring Lasers (SRLs) have shown their potential to be a key device to perform all-optical processing exploiting their directional emission bistability [1]. Furthermore, SRLs have shown cavity-enhanced Four Wave Mixing (FWM) [2] that provides rich opportunities for implementing THz radiation generators, logical gates and wavelength converters [3].
