Abstract
In recent years there has been a growing interest in high peak power ultrashort pulse lasers operating at repetition rates of several tens of kHz and beyond. Such system can be used to access regimes of light matter interaction auspicious for a number of applications, e.g. in biology, nanoscience or chemistry. High harmonic generation, for example, enables the generation of coherent extreme ultraviolet radiation [1]. So far this radiation has been almost exclusively been generated with Ti:Sapphire laser system that are limited in repetition rate to few kHz due to thermo-optical effects.
