Abstract

Transparent ceramic materials doped with rare earth ions are of considerable interest in modern laser physics. Interest in laser ceramics is caused by the fact that it is characterized by large aperture and the possibility of obtaining laser medium with a gradient of concentration of activator. Mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of ceramics is not worse than similar properties of single crystals.
