Ultralow Power Nonlinear Optics in Rb-Filled Band-Gap Fibers

Abstract

We describe our recent results on the ultralow nonlinear interactions of Rb atoms in hollow-core photonic-bandgap fibers and show that large optical densities can be generated at room temperature through the process of light-induced atomic desorption.
