Abstract
The goal of this study is to design robust and reliable pumping configurations for multi-Terawatt / Petawatt class power amplifiers. For that it is necessary to investigate all the processes involved in Ti: Sapphire lasers pumping: the damage threshold and the optimal pump fluency amplifying material (Ti: Sapphire), the beam transport technique (relay image and homogenization [1]) and the coherence properties of pump lasers.
