Abstract
Spatial solitary structures are localised light spots in the transverse plane of an optical beam. Due to their binary features they have been suggested for applications in optical data-storage and for all-optical routing and switching of information. We investigate a lateral position control of solitary structures required to suppress mutual interaction and spontaneous dynamics. [1]
