Abstract
Based on an earlier design of a Ti:Saphire Laser, which was implemented in our group [1], we demonstrate a proof-of-concept system capable of producing Fourier-Transform limited ns-pulses tunable over a wide spectral range. By combining the large tuning range of the Ti:Saphire crystal and combinations of non-linear frequency conversion processes including sum-and difference frequency mixing with the pump radiation, a spectral coverage of 180 nm to 5000 µm is possible when considering up to three non-linear processes.
