Abstract

Silver nanoparticles were grown on a diatom photonic crystal surface to create a hybrid plasmonic-biosilica nanostructure for surface-enhanced Raman scattering. Ultra-sensitive and quantitative detection of Tetrahydrocannabinol in body fluid was achieved to counter measure drug abuse.
