Frequency dissemination over 1000 km optical fiber with 10−21 frequency instability

Abstract

We demonstrate a frequency transfer scheme for over 1000 km optical fiber link with mode locked pulse train as the frequency carrier. The fractional frequency instability was measured as 2.75×10-15/s and 3.91×10-21/120000 s.
