Photon-pair generation and quantum-classical correspondence in nonlinear nanostructures

Abstract

We present theoretical and experimental advances towards efficient photon-pair generation through spontaneous parametric down-conversion in nonlinear nanostructures and metasurfaces, enabling quantum entanglement engineering at sub-wavelength scale for photon generation with tailored polarization and spatial correlations.
