High spatial resolution LIDAR for detection of cracks on tunnel surfaces

Abstract

We developed a high resolution LIDAR to detect cracks on a concrete placed 5 m away. The LIDAR can detect cracks with 200 μm width which is difficult to detect by existing remote inspections.
