Optimizing Output Power Through Temporal Pulse Shaping.

Abstract

We have doubled the output pulse energy to 550µJ from a Raman Pumped VLMA EDFA by pulse shaping the input while operating below SBS damage threshold with a 7.5KHz rep-rate, 1µs pulses at 1572nm.
