Abstract

This paper demonstrates an acousto-optic technique for delay modulation of wide bandwidth RF photonic signals. By modulating RF delay, sideband power is varied 20 dB/frequency decade over the 0.1-10 GHz range, potentially enabling for applications such as instantaneous frequency measurement.
