A Kagome fiber based, high energy delivery laser scalpel system for laser microsurgery

Abstract

We present the development of a 5 mm, piezo-actuated, ultrafast laser scalpel that delivers upwards of 1 μJ at the target surface. Experiments show fast and effective surface ablation of tissue tens of microns deep.
