Enhancement of Diffusion Length and Optical Quality of Cr2+:ZnSe via Annealing in Vapors of Zn

Abstract

The effects of co-annealing in Zn vapor during process of thermal diffusion of Cr2+ in ZnSe are studied. Co-annealing improves the diffusion length by ~2 times while improving crystal optical quality, and optical damage threshold.
