Fluid Coupled Optomechanical Oscillators

Abstract

We demonstrate an optomechanical resonator operating in transparency window of water with optical Q beyond 1.5 million, which allows the detection of mechanical motion at 15am/rtHz resolution with attogram mass sensitivity in liquid environment.
