Abstract
A quantitative polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT), so called Jones matrix (JM-) OCT is presented. This system measures the Jones matrix tomography of biological and medical samples. Jones matrix based signal processing and numerical estimator algorithm are then applied to obtain truly quantitative value of tissue birefringence. The clinical utility of JM-OCT is examined by measuring in vivo human eyes with several posterior diseases.
