Label-Free Imaging of Single Neuron Activities by Stimulated Raman Scattering

Abstract

We report the observation of single neuron activities by spectral focusing stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy. Changes in SRS signal intensity in live neurons correlate to action potentials indicated by fluorescent calcium indicator.
