Electron-injection Detectors for Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomography

Abstract

Electron-injection detectors are used in an OCT system for the first time. Compared to a commercial p-i-n detector, electron-injection detectors show ~20 dB higher SNR. This could lead to OCT systems without the need for balanced-detection.
