Abstract

Concept of equivalent temperature is proposed for precise temperature measurement of crystals and glasses in laser calorimetry and nonlinear optics experiments. Determination of equivalent temperature of laser irradiated crystal or glass is based on frequency shift measurement of temperature calibrated acoustic resonance, excited in the sample.
