Implosion and heating experiments of fast ignition targets by Gekko-XII and LFEX lasers

Abstract

Implosion and heating experiments of fast ignition targets has been performed with Gekko-XII and LFEX lasers, and neutron enhancement was demonstrated. Goal of the FIREX-1 project is to achieve fuel heating up to 5 keV.
