Abstract

Nonlinear properties of GeSe2-As2Se3-PbSe are studied using z-scan measurements from 2.5μm–5.5μm. The largest nonlinear refractive index is observed at 2.8μm, corresponding to the two-photon edge. A sub-peak at 4.6μm arises from mid-gap defect states.
