Revisiting the Effect of Inert Shell on Luminescence Enhancement of Upconversion Nanoparticles

Abstract

We explore the power-dependent emission of upconversion nanoparticles with respect to inert shell coating. The inert-shells lower the excitation intensity requirement, but not increase the ultimate brightness at the saturation region.
