Abstract

The photodarkening losses of Al/Yb-doped fiber, Al/P/Yb-doped fiber and Al/Ce/Yb-doped fiber were 181.82 dB/m, 84.56 dB/m, 49.65 dB/m, respectively. The result shows the photodarkening loss can be markedly suppressed by codoping with Ce and P.
