High-linearity Fourier domain mode locking optoelectronic oscillator based on stimulated Brillouin scattering

Abstract

We demonstrate a high-linearity Fourier domain mode locking optoelectronic oscillator based on electrically-controlled fast-scanning stimulated Brillouin scattering. Linearly chirped microwave waveforms with frequency sweep linearity of 1.7% and precisely- set frequency sweep range are generated.
