A Simplified Multiset-Partition Distribution Matching for PS-16QAM Optical Fiber Systems

Abstract

We propose a simplified multiset-partition distribution matcher (MPDM) with pairwise probability partitioning without distribution changing. The simplified MPDM has a shaping gain and lower rate loss in fiber-optic systems with AWGN and fiber nonlinearities.
