Abstract

We propose a new encryption method based on spectrum aliasing which is artificially introduced by violating the Nyquist sampling theorem using an analysis filter bank. BER of the decrypted OOK signal falls below FEC limit of 3.8e-3 at OSNR of 14dB after 80 km transmission using a matching filter bank for the authorized user, while for the eavesdroppers BER keeps 0.5.
