Two-Color Soliton Molecules from a Fiber Laser

Abstract

We report the generation and characterization of soliton-molecules in dispersion-managed fiber lasers. Solitons at two different frequencies, with common (negative) dispersion, have identical group velocities; these solitons form a bound state with temporal beat fringes.
