Recognition of Energetic Materials by Ultrasonic Spectrum upon Pulsed Laser Initiation

Abstract

We demonstrate the recognition of explosives by ultrasonic spectrum with a frequency of up to 45 kHz for possible applications in forensics and anti-terror. Energetic materials were initiated with Q-switched Nd:YAG laser and laser diode.
