Frequency Noise Reduction of Injection-Locked Quantum Cascade Lasers

Abstract

This work theoretically shows that the optical injection significantly reduces the frequency noise of quantum cascade lasers in the low frequency range. Frequency detunings close to the positive locking boundary enhance the frequency noise peak.
