Deterministic Creation and Spins in Quantum Emitters in Atomically Thin Semiconductors

Abstract

We report the deterministic generation of novel single-photon emitters (SPEs) in monolayers of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) by using patterned substrates, and current efforts to generate charged TMD-SPEs through electrical gating to act as qubits.
