High-Extinction-Ratio Optical Filters Based on High-Order Silicon Microring Resonators

Abstract

we designed and fabricated coupled-resonator optical waveguide filters on silicon platform with insertion loss ~ 1.5 dB, and obtained extinction ratio of > 70 dB for 7th filters by thermally tuning resonances of each ring.
