Abstract

The bandwidth of >130 GHz for the hybrid modulators is calculated numerically and analytically based on experimentally obtained device parameters. The measured reduction of electro-optic response is 1.5 dB at a frequency of 67 GHz for the modulator with the electrode length of 5 mm, which extrapolates bandwidth of >130 GHz base on experimentally obtained device parameters.
