Switchable dual-mode pulsed fiber laser with few-mode fiber grating

Abstract

A switchable dual-mode pulsed fiber laser by using a two-mode fiber Bragg grating for mode discrimination and SESAM for mode-locking has been demonstrated. Stable pulsed operation on separate or simultaneous fundamental mode and intercoupling mode can be obtained, respectively.
