Self-starting And Environment Stable 500 MHz Repetition Rate Femtosecond Yb:fiber Laser With Non-polarization Maintaining Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate a 500MHz repetition rate, 61fs self-starting Yb:fiber laser incorporated with a phase biased nonlinear amplifying loop mirror. Although the fiber is non-polarization maintaining, the mode locking is environmentally stable.
