Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate the fabrication of long period gratings (LPGs) on the PANDA-Air fiber. By monitoring the transmission spectrum of the LPG, a deep notch over 16 dB was achieved within the operation wavelength band. The proposed method has many advantages such as compact structure, cost-effective, and promising fiber-optic sensing applications.
